HomeMy WebLinkAbout5830 RESOLUTION NO 5,830 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A WARRANTY DEED TO LANDS IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO BE USED FOR PARK PURPOSES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock has in the years 1975 and 1976, accepted Warranty Deeds from Phillip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. Thom, his wife, Ronald H. Thom, Sidney M. Thom, and Penelope B. Thom, his wife, each such Deed conveying an undivided one-fifth interest in a parcel of land hereinafter described to be used for park purposes , being two of five such conveyances to the City of Little Rock at one year intervals over a period of five years; and WHEREAS , the aforenamed persons have conveyed to the City of Little Rock a Warranty Deed dated September 12 . 1977 conveying an undivided one-fifth interest in the lands hereinafter described, giving the City of Little Rock a three-fifths interest in said lands, and the City would by this Resolution accept said Warranty Deed. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock does hereby accept a Warranty Deed from Phillip Howard Thom, Jr. and Geraldine M. Thom, his wife, Ronald H. Thom, Sidney M. Thom and Penelope B. Thom, his wife, con- veying an undivided one-fifth (1/5) interest in the following de- scribed parcel of land to be used for public park purposes : Part of the SW4, NW4, Section 24 , T-1-N, R-12-W, Pulaski County, Arkansas , more particularly described as follows: All of that part of the SW4, NW4, Section 24 , T-1-N, R-12-W, lying west of Gillam Park Road, except the north 250 ' thereof, containing 17 acres, more or less. A copy of said Deed is attached hereto and made a part of this Resolution. SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
