HomeMy WebLinkAbout5808 RESOLUTION NO 5,808 A RESOLUTION SETTING A DATE FOR A PUBLIC HEARING; PROVIDING FOR NOTICE AND PUBLICATION OF THE CITY' S INTENTION TO CONSIDER THE ZONING OF CERTAIN PRO- PERTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1 . The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas will consider upon its own motion an amendment to the zoning ordinances of the City of Little Rock for the purpose of classifying certain property lying within the zoning authority of the City of Little Rock as per its most appropriate use; said property being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Part of the SW4 SEQ of Section 21, Township 2 North, Range 13 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas , described as : Begin at the Southwest corner of the said SW4 SEQ of Section 21 and run thence N 0° 37 ' 30" W along the center line of a county road (60 foot right of way) 50 . 46 feet to a point; thence N 89° 22 ' 30" E 30 feet to the point of beginning, being the intersection of the East right of way line of said county road with the West right of way line of Rodney Parham Road; thence N 0° 37 ' 30 " W along the East line of said county road 933 . 47 feet to a point; thence S 45° 37 ' 10" E 660 .13 feet to a point on the West line of Rodney Parham Road; thence S 44° 22 ' 50" W along the West line of Rodney Parham Road 660 feet to the point of beginning, containing 5 .001 acres, more or less . SECTION 2 . A Public Hearing is hereby set for the 18th day of October , 1977 at 7.30 o' clock p .m. in the Board of Directors ' Chamber, City Hall, Little Rock, Arkansas and the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish notice at least 15 days prior to said public hearing in a newspaper of general circulation in this city. Further, the City Clerk is hereby directed to give written notice at least ten days prior to the aforesaid public hearing to the owner or owners of such property affected by this Resolution and to the owners of property located within 200 feet of the subject property . Said notices shall be sent by certified or registered mail to the last known address of the record owner or owners as aforesaid and the City Clerk shall execute an affidavit of compliance herewith . SECTION 3 . The subject property is within the zoning authority of the City of Little Rock by virtue of Section 19-2804 .100f the Arkansas Statutes annotated (1955 Supp. ) and is further located within -2- that area recently annexed to the City of Little Rock, which annexation is still under consideration by the Arkansas Supreme Court and due to recent attempts to develop said property without compliance with the zoning and building regulations of the City of Little. Rock, against the health, safety and welfare of the City of Little Rock, an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this Resolution shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its adoption and approval .
