A RESOLUTION REQUESTING PULASKI COUNTY TO
DEMOLISH THE OLD COUNTY JAIL; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock strongly urge and encourage Pulaski County to
take immediate action in demolishing the old county jail
situated along the south bank of the Arkansas river for the
reason that said jail is deteriorated beyond repair, is
unsightly and a harbor for rodents and other small animals
and its removal and subsequent site clearance would greatly
enhance the riverfront.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
