A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 5,711 AUTHORIZING THE
CITY ATTORNEY TO INSTITUTE ANNEXATION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX
TO THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK CERTAIN LANDS SOLELY OWNED BY THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO BE USED FOR THE LITTLE ROCK PORT
INDUSTRIAL PARK TO CORRECT A LEGAL DESCRIPTION CONTAINED
THEREIN; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock adopted a
Resolution , No. 5,711 on May 3, 1977, authorizing the City Attorney to in-
stitute proceedings in the County Court of Pulaski County to annex certain
lands acquired from the Arkansas State Highway Department adjacent to the
Little Rock Port Industrial Park in the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, said Resolution contained an erroneous description of the lands
to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the correct legal description is as follows:
Part of the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 16
and part of the Southwest Quarter of the Northwest Quarter of Section
15, all in Township 1 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas,
more particularly described as follows:
Starting at the Southwest Corner of the Southeast Quarter of the North-
east Quarter of Section 16, Township 1 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski
County, Arkansas; thence North 01° 30' 32" East along the West line of
the Southeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter a distance of 279.82 feet
to a point; thence North 78° 43' 53" East a distance of 304.14 feet to
a point on the southerly proposed right of way line of the East Belt
Freeway for the point of beginning; thence North 63° 00' 11" East along
said proposed right of way line a distance of 203.9 feet to a point;
thence North 58° 41' East along said proposed right of way line a
distance of 366.9 feet to a point; thence North 64° 50' East along said
proposed right of way line a distance of 204.0 feet to a point; thence
North 74° 09' East along said proposed right of way line a distance of
516.6 feet to a point; thence North 66° 52' East along said proposed right
of way line a distance of 426.1 feet to a point; thence North 59° 21' 26"
East along said proposed right of way line a distance of 319.16 feet to
a point; thence South 36° 44' 33" East a distance of 65.66 feet to a
point; thence South 39° 15' 35" East a distance of 200.0 feet to a point;
thence South 39° 48' 07" East a distance of 163.09 feet to a point; thence
South 30° 08' 41" West a distance of 246.3 feet to a point; thence North
75° 56' 25" West a distance of 231.58 feet to a point; thence South 78°
43' 58" West a distance of 1799.77 feet to the point of beginning and
containing 12.34 acres, more or less.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE

ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The above described lands owned by the City of Little Rock should
be voluntarily annexed to the City of Little Rock and the City Attorney is hereby
authorized and directed to institute proceedings in the County Court of Pulaski County
to affect said voluntary annexation according to the laws of the State of Arkansas.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
