A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FUNDS PURSUANT TO
TITLE III OF THE COMPREHENSIVE EMPLOYMENT
AND TRAINING ACT OF 1973; ACCEPTING RECOM-
MENDATIONS OF THE ADVISORY COUNCIL FOR
MODIFICATIONS OF TITLE I PROGRAMS; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The Department of Labor has advised that the area
comprised of Pulaski County, Lonoke County, Faulkner County and Saline
County has been allocated the sum of $1, 115 ,578 .00 to fund this year ' s
Summer Youth Program and acknowledgment of receipt of such funds is
hereby made .
SECTION 2 . The following modification of the Comprehensive
Employment and Training Act of 1973 , Title I Program is hereby made :
1) Adult High School Program - expenditure up to $50 ,000 .00
2) Client intake assessment - expenditure up to $50 , 000 .00
3) "Buy-in" training from vocational training
institutions - expenditure up to $50, 000 .00
4) (Faulkner County)
a) Out-of-School work experience - increase
expenditure up to $18, 842 .00
b) On-job training - increase expenditure to 23 , 318 .00
(Lonoke County)
Decrease funding for On-job training by $19 , 971.00 and
designate $5 , 000 . 00 to employ a job placement specialist
to work with all CETA participants in the county.
5) Increase by $8, 093 .00 funding of On-Job training subgrant
to permit additional staffing.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
