HomeMy WebLinkAbout5687 RESOLUTION NO 5,6£7 A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR VARIOUS MATERIALS AND SERVICES; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES WHEREAS , invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received pursuant thereto according to law for the following: a) Bituminous Cold Lay Plant Mix b) Brown Pea Gravel Mix c) Traffic equipment and Test equipment d) Mowers, Tractors , Generator and other parks Department related equipment e) Demolition of 27 condemned structures and site clearance and, WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidders have been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize the purchase of said items of materials and services from the lowest responsible and responsive bidders. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS. SECTION 1. A contract is hereby awarded to Ben M. Hogan Co . , Inc. , 1100 Fairpoint, Little Rock , Arkansas for the purchase of bituminous cold lay plant mix for the remainder of the year 1977 . Contract price is $12 .00 per ton, total contract price not to exceed $7, 500 . 00 . Funds for said purchases are available in the 1977 Little Rock Budget, Account No. 3. 02 . A copy of the Abstract of Bids for said mix is attached hereto as Exhibit "A" and made a part hereof as though set out herein word for word. SECTION 2 . A contract is hereby awarded to Razorback Ready Mix Concrete Company, Little Rock, Arkansas for the purchase of Brown Pea Gravel Mix for the remainder of the year 1977 . Contract price is $31 .75 per cubic yard, total contract price not to exceed $10,000 . 00 . Funds for said purchases are available in the 1977 Little Rock Budget, Account #3 .02 . A copy of the Abstract of Bids for said gravel mix is attached hereto as Exhibit "B" and made a part hereof as though set out herein word for word. -2- SECTION 3 . Contracts are hereby awarded to the various bidders named on Exhibit "C" attached hereto for the purchase of traffic equip- ment and test equipment. The various items to be purchased along with the prices therefor are set out on said Exhibit "C" attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set out herein word for word. Total cost of said purchases is $14, 473 .50 and funds for said purchases are available in City of Little Rock Budget for 1977 , account #277-7 .02/7 .05 . SECTION 4 . Contracts are hereby awarded to the various bidders named on Exhibit "D" attached hereto for the purchase of mowers, tractors, generator, and other Parks Department realted equipment. An itemized listing of said equipment along with the prices therefor are set out on said Exhibit "D" attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set out herein word for word. Contract price is $52 , 559 . 60 , exclusive of tax. Funds for said purchases are available in Little Rock Budget for 1977 , Account No. 177-7 . 02/7 .04 . SECTION 5. Contracts are hereby awarded to the various bidders named on Exhibit "E" attached hereto for demolition and site clearance of 27 condemned structures. Individual addresses and contract price for each structure are set out on said Exhibit "E" attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set out herein word for word. Total con- tract price is $9 , 846 . 00 and funds are available in Community Develop- ment Block Grant funds, account #402/6 . 09 . SECTION 6 . The material, equipment and services authorized to be purchased herein shall at all times comply with bidding specifications on file in the office of the Purchasing Department. Upon receipt of the materials, equipment and upon completion of demolition and site clearance the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrants in payment thereof. SECTION 7 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
