A RESOLUTION PERTAINING TO METROPLAN' S GRANT
APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR
FUNDS TO BE USED IN THE OPERATION OF CENTRAL
ARKANSAS TRANSIT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The City of Little Rock commits itself to
participate with the City of North Little Rock and Pulaski
County to immediately send representatives of the three local
governments to Washington for the purpose of soliciting the
active support of our representatives in the Congress, namely:
Congressman Wilbur D. Mills, Senators John L. McClellan and
Dale Bumpers, in an effort designed to encourage the Urban
Mass Transportation Administration to expeditiously process
and approve Metroplan' s 1976 application for operating grant
funds in the amount of $461 ,251 .00 for Central Arkansas Transit ' s
operation in Pulaski County.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
