A RESOLUTION ENDORSING A SALES TAX AS A SOURCE
OF REVENUE FOR THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby endorses the
principle of levying and collecting a one percent (1%) gross
receipts tax to be collected and distributed by the State of
Arkansas with the distribution being made to the source of
collection whether municipality or county.
SECTION 2 . The City Manager and his staff are hereby
requested to develop and formalize for presentation to the
General Assembly such proposed legislation as may be required
to enable effectuation of the proposal set forth in Section 1
hereof.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
