HomeMy WebLinkAbout5526 RESOLUTION NO. 5,526 A RESOLUTION OF THE LITTLE ROCK BOARD OF DIRECTORS PERTAINING TO THE USE OF PROPERTY IN THE AREA ADJACENT TO MACARTHUR PARK IN LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS WHEREAS, the area adjacent to MacArthur Park is subject to the provisions of the Central Little Rock Zoning Ordinance and Urban Renewal Plan; and subject plan and ordinance allow the Little Rock Board of Adjustment to review and approve certain uses of property, not allowed as a matter of right, and WHEREAS, subject area adjacent to MacArthur Park enjoys a special relationship to the park, and as a result,has particular value to the owners, neighborhood, and community for residential and office purposes; and it is recognized by the Little Rock Board of Directors that use of property in subject area for other than residential and office purposes could have a negative effect on the park and its use and enjoy- ment for educational and recreational purposes by the citizens of the neighborhood and community. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS SECTION 1. The Board of Directors requests of the Little Rock Board of Adjustment that no Conditional Use Permits for uses of property not allowed in the "E-1" Quiet Business Zoning District be approved in the area adjacent to (contiguous to or across the street from) MacArthur Park.
