A RESOLUTION SUPPORTING THE CLEAN COMMUNITY
SYSTEM AS DEVELOPED BY KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL,
INC. ; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is known as the City of Roses and
regarded as a clean and beautiful city, and
WHEREAS, the visual aesthetic qualities of the City of Little Rock
are uppermost in its citizen's thoughts , and
WHEREAS, the Clean Community System will assist greatly in improving
the visual aesthetics of our city.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock does
hereby endorse the Clean Community System as developed by Keep America
Beautiful, Inc. and supports the participation of the City of Little Rock
in this system.
SECTION 2. In keeping with the design of the Clean Community System,
the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock hereby establishes the
Clean City Committee. Said committee shall be an official committee of
the City and accountable to the Board of Directors. Members of the Clean
City Committee shall be appointed at a later date.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
