HomeMy WebLinkAbout5520 Otlikkg RESOLUTION NO 5,520 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE VARIOUS PROJECTS AND ALLOCATION OF FUNDS AS PROVIDED FOR IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM FOR THE YEAR 1976-1977; AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF AN APPLICATION FOR SAID FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1. The City of Little Rock hereby allocates the funds provided it under the Community Development Block Grant Program of the Federal Government for the fiscal year 1976-1977 to the various projects and in the separate dollar amounts all I as enumerated and provided for on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made a part hereof. Further, the City Manager, acting for and on behalf of the City of Little Rock, is hereby authorized to make application to the appropriate federal agency for the grant funds herein referred to. SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. The drainage ditch which runs across the Woodruff Neighborhood from the west side between 5th and 6th Streets be paved from Pine to Val- uer with a six-inch concrete bottom, six feet wide, and concrete block walls three feet high. Estimated Cost: $94,100 2. To improve the drainage ditch that runs along 38th Street from Malloy Street to John Barrow Road, then along John Barrow Road from 38th Street to 36th Street. Existing structures which unduly re- strict flows will be replaced with new structures. The channel of the entire drainage ditch will be cleaned out and reshaped to in- crease the operating efficiency. Estimated Cost: $17,000 3. To continue improvements to Blakemore Ditch from 24th to 12th Streets. This Ditch is located in the Oak Forest Area. Estimated Cost: $680,000 4.
