A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASING DIVISION
TO PURCHASE ON CONTRACTS AWARDED BY THE STATE OF
ARKANSAS; AND FOR OTHER PUR POSES
WHEREAS, contracts awarded by the State of Arkansas contain
a provision which enables municipalities to purchase with author-
ization from their Boards or Commissions ; and
WHEREAS, this authorization will not eliminate the bidding
process or reduce the labor requirements necessary in the bidding
process, it will afford the Purchasing Division the opportunity
to obtain lower prices.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The Purchasing Division of the City of Little
Rock is hereby authorized to purchase on contracts awarded by
the State of Arkansas. The Purchasing Division will certify
the low bid by completing the competitive bid process for com-
parison. The evaluation of bid comparisons shall be based on
price, quality, service, availability and delivery.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
