3 A RESOLUTION TO AMEND LITTLE ROCK, ARK., RESOLUTION NO.
4 10,677 (OCTOBER 26, 1999) TO AUTHORIZE THE MAYOR AND CITY
5 CLERK TO EXECUTE AN ADDENDUM FOR THE LEASE TERM OF
6 THE FIRST TEE GOLF COURSE FOR ANOTHER FIFTEEN(15) YEARS;
7 AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

9 WHEREAS, after a competitive process the City agreed to lease property obtained for park purposes
10 to the World Golf Foundation, Inc.,a Florida not-for-profit corporation,to operate through its division The
11 First Tee,a Little Rock First Tee Program; and,
12 WHEREAS,the initial lease period of fifteen(15)years is to expire in 2014;however,the World Golf
13 Foundation, Inc.,has indicated a desire not only to renew the lease,but also to make a substantial financial
14 investment in the course and facilities at the Little Rock First Tee; and,
15 WHEREAS,this addendum is deemed to be in the best interests of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
16 its Parks&Recreation Program, and this particular aspect of its various golf programs;
17 NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
18 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
19 Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are authorized to execute any and all necessary
20 documents, acceptable to the City Attorney, to approve an addendum of fifteen (15) years to the current
21 lease agreement with the World Golf Foundation, Inc., to operate the Little Rock First Tee through its
22 division, The First Tee.
23 Section 2. This addendum will begin at the end of the current agreement on October 29, 2014, and
24 will continue through and including December 31, 2029, at 12:00 midnight.
25 Section 3. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
26 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
27 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
28 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
29 resolution.
30 Section 4. Repealer. All laws,ordinances, resolutions,or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
31 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency including, but not
32 limited to, Little Rock, Ark., Resolution No. 10,677(October 26, 1999).
