3 A RESOLUTION TO EXPRESS THE WILLINGNESS OF THE CITY OF
4 LITTLE ROCK TO UTILIZE FEDERAL-AID FUNDS FOR THE
5 CONSTRUCTION OF THE LITTLE ROCK BIKE CONNECTOR ON
6 THE ARKANSAS RIVER TRAIL; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.

8 WHEREAS, the Metroplan Board has recently approved Federal-Aid Transportation
9 Alternatives Program Funds for the project at the following Federal and City participating ratios:

24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
25 CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS:
26 Section 1. The City will participate in accordance with its designated responsibility in this River
27 Trail River Bluffs Connector Improvements Project including maintenance of this project.
28 Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to execute all appropriate agreements
29 and contracts necessary to expedite the construction of this City project.
30 Section 3. The City pledges its full support and hereby authorizes the Arkansas State Highway and
31 Transportation Department to initiate action to implement this project.
32 Section 4. Severability. In the event any title, section, paragraph, item, sentence, clause, phrase, or
33 word of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or
34 adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of the resolution which shall remain in full force and
35 effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or unconstitutional were not originally a part of the
36 resolution.
37 Section 5. Repealer. All laws, ordinances, resolutions, or parts of the same,that are inconsistent with
38 the provisions of this resolution, are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.

1 Section 6. This resolution will be in full force and effect from and after the date of its adoption.
