HomeMy WebLinkAbout5297 RESOLUTION NO 5,297 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE UNITED STATES CIVIL SER- VICE COMMISSION FOR INTERGOVERNMENTAL PERSONNAL ACT FUNDS; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1. The City Manager, acting for and on behalf of the City of Little Rock is hereby authorized to prepare and file an application with the United States Civil Service Commission for Grant Funds for Intergovernmental Personnel Act Funds to be used for the following purposes : a) Job Analysis - Development of a complete information bank of job requirements , skills and abilities . b) Compensation Study: Survey of regional and local wage and salary date to be used in negotiations with employee organizations and comparability studies . c) Orientation and Supervisory Training: Continuation of advancing the management and supervisory skills of front-line foremen, supervisors and similar employees. The total project cost is $57 ,398 . 00 , which is comprised of $17 ,398. 00 carried over from the fiscal year 1974 ; $30 ,000 Federal Grant Funds and $10 ,000 . 00 in-kind funds of the City of Little Rock. This is the third year for this project which was initiated in 1972 . SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption.
