A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
REGARDING A POSSIBLE COUNTY VEHICLE TAX;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, newspaper reports on the possibility of a county
tax on automobiles could be construed as an endorsement by the
Board of said tax, the Board would like to clarify their position
on same by stating that they and each of them are neither for nor
against said county tax.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. Because the Central Arkansas Transit bus company
continues to operate at a $2 , 000 .00 loss per day and because the
people are not in the mood for additional taxes and because
government mismanagement must stop, the Board of Directors of
the City of Little Rock hereby go on record as not being for
nor against the tax measures, but merely conveyed the document
to the Quorum Court.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
