A RESOLUTION INSTRUCTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXAMINE THE NEED FOR
AND TO RECOMMEND HOW TO OBTAIN A
BROAD BASED SOURCE OF REVENUE FOR
THE COMMUNITY .
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock recognizes the need for
maintaining the current level of municipal services to its
residents , and
WHEREAS , those services continually need upgrading) improve-
ment and expansion , and
WHEREAS , the revenue from Federal , State and other sources
is limited if not uncertain .
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK , ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized and
instructed to examine the need for and to recommend how to obtain
a broad based source of revenue for the community .
SECTION 2 . The objective of any increased revenue will be
to improve the ability of the city to better deliver city services .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption .
