RESOLUTION NO. 5,193
A RESOLUTION OF COMMENDATION TO MR. W. L. JARRETT
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has many outstanding civic and business
leaders who have worked tirelessly to make this community a better place for all
its citizens; and
WHEREAS, the Board of Directors, on behalf of all citizens of the City of
Little Rock, would like to single out one of these most outstanding citizens for
special commendation, after many years of unselfish dedicated work in this community
and recognize Mr. William L. Jarrett; and
WHEREAS, in the most recent meetings of the National Police and Community
Relations Committee and the National Convention of the Black Caucus held here in
Little Rock, Mr. Jarrett worked diligently with business and community leaders to
provide assistance to the attending delegates and committee members; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Jarrett put to the disposal of the Little Rock Police Department
all the limousines owned by his personal business so that transportation could be
provided persons in attendance of these conventions.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. The Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock, on behalf of
all the citizens of this community, hereby commends Mr. William L, Jarrett for his
dedicated and devoted service to this community in giving unselfishly of his time,
energies and talents to make this community a better place for all. Mr.. Jarrett is
in the truest sense a good and honorable citizen.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after
its adoption.
