A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
EMPLOY AN ENGINEERING FIRM TO PREPARE AN
ENGINEERING STUDY RELATING TO THE SANITARY
LANDFILL OPERATION OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to
contract with Garver & Garver, Inc. , Engineers , to make and
provide an engineering study regarding the Sanitary Landfill
operation by the City of Little Rock dealing in particular
with the following conditions and situations :
1. An investigation of the City ' s present waste water
discharge practices and an evaluation of its adequacy
under normal and maximum rainfall and conditions .
2 . An evaluation of effluent samples including laboratory
testing and analysis .
3 . The development of alternate waste water treatment
systems should the study indicate a need for methods
other than those presently utilized.
The cost of such study shall not exceed the sum of $3 . 000 . 00 .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
