A RESOLUTION APPROVING AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EXECUTION OF A RESTRICTIVE COVENANT FOR OPEN-
SPACE PURPOSES BY THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK,
ARKANSAS , PERTAINING TO WAKEFIELD PARK, AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE
ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1 . The City of Little Rock, ARkansas , has entered into
a Contract with the United States of America on July 16 , 1970, for the
acquisition of an open-space grant pertaining to the following described
lands to be used as a park:
Beginning 962 feet north of the southwest corner of the
NE4 NW4 , Section 31, Township 1 North, Range 12 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas ; thence run East 623 feet;
thence North 320 feet; thence West 623 feet; thence
South 320 feet to the point of beginning, LESS AND
EXCEPT that part described as: Starting at the north-
east corner of said NE4 NW4; thence West 1, 291 feet;
thence South 15 feet to the point of beginning; thence
run South 75 feet; thence East 150 feet; thence North
75 feet; thence West 150 feet to the point of beginning.
The subject property contains 4 . 33 acres , more or less .
and
Tract 10 , Alameda Acres , more particularly described as
follows : Beginning 668 feet West and 320 feet South of
the Northeast corner of the NE4 of the NW4, Section 31,
Township 1 North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas;
thence run South 321 feet; thence West 628 feet; thence
North 321 feet; thence East 628 feet to the point of begin-
ning in Pulaski County, Arkansas .
SECTION 2 . The City of Little Rock, Arkansas, hereby agrees that
it will not hereafter sell, lease or otherwise transfer the above des-
cribed lands or any interest therein without the prior written approval
of the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development of the United States
of America, his designee , or any successor thereto.
SECTION 3 . The Mayor of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , is here-
by authorized to execute a Restrictive Covenant on behalf of the City
of Little Rock , Arkansas , and the City Clerk is hereby authorized to
attest same and place the seal thereon, to comply with the provisions
of said contract.
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
