Home My WebLink About5091 RESOLUTION NO, 5,091 A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACTS FOR THE DEMOLITION OF CERTAIN HOUSES IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK WHICH HAVE BEEN CONDEMNED; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES . WHEREAS , invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received pursuant thereto according to law for the demolition of certain con- demned houses within the City of Little Rock; and WHEREAS , the lowest responsive and responsible bidders have been determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to award contracts for said demolition to the lowest responsive and responsible bidders . However, it is understood that under no circumstances what- soever shall any demolition of any house be commenced without prior written authorization from the Community Development Department sub- sequent to the awarding of contracts on specific individual property. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1. The sum of $13, 000 .00 is presently appropriated and available to defray the costs involved in part of the above identified houses . Further funds will be appropriated from time to time as may be necessary to continue the demolition project. SECTION 3 . Upon the completion of the demolition of said houses in accordance with bid specifications on file in the office of the Purchasing Department and in accordance with the appropriate ordinances of the City of Little Rock, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the said contract prices . 10 SECTION 4.
