A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER
INTO A CONTRACT WITH AUTOMATED SYSTEMS CORPORATION
FOR THE NEGOTIATED PURCHASE OF COMPUTER EQUIPMENT.
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock has initiated a study of its
Police records system and entered into a contract with Pharos Systems,
Inc. , to design a new automated records system, and I'
WHEREAS , City of Little Rock has solicited proposals from various
manufacturing firms of computer equipment to implement the Police
records system, and
WHEREAS , these proposals have been carefully evaluated and each
proposal judged according to its cost and technical desirability for
the Police records system.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter into
a contract with Automated Systems Corporation for the purchase of com-
puter equipment as specified in the response to the request for bid
entitled "Computer System for the Little Rock Police Department."
SECTION 2 . The contract authorized herein shall not exceed
the sum of $261, 503 and shall be subject to negotiation by the City
Manager or his representative.
SECTION 3 . This resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
