A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
REQUEST AUTHORITY AND APPROVAL FOR THE EXCHANGE
OF LAND IN THE MODEL CITIES HANGER HILL PROJECT
WITH COMPARABLE LAND OWNED BY THE LITTLE ROCK
HOUSING AUTHORITY; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock for and on behalf of
Model Cities has purchased 90 ,000 square feet , more or less ,
in Block 19 , Hanger Hill Addition to the City of Little Rock ,
Pulaski County, Arkansas , with the intent of devoting same
to the use of parks and open space parkland; and
WHEREAS , the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock
owns approximately 89 ,175 square feet in the approximate area
of the city' s property which has been determined more desir-
able for development of a park to serve the neighborhood than
the city' s land; and
WHEREAS , it is the desire of the City of Little Rock to
exchange lands with the Housing Authority of the City of Little
Rock and with the newly acquired lands being developed as a
neighborhood park within the Hanger Hill Project.
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager, acting for and on behalf of
the City of Little Rock is hereby authorized to make application
to the Housing and Urban Development Administration for approval
and authority to exchange , without additional consideration , the
real property described in Section 2 hereof with the Little Rock
Housing Authority in receipt of a conveyance by the said Housing
Authority of the real property described in Section 3 hereof
with the full understanding and commitment on the part of the
City acting by and through Model Cities to develop the latter
lands as a neighborhood park in the Hanger Hill Project.
SECTION 2 . The property of the City of Little Rock to be
conveyed to the Little Rock Housing Authority under authority
of this Resolution is described as :

A tract of land containing 90 ,000 square feet , more or
less and more particularly described as follows , to-wit :
Lots 1 through 26 , Cleage ' s Subdivision , Block 19 ,
Hanger' s Addition to the City of Little Rock ,
Pulaski County, Arkansas
SECTION 3. The real property of the Housing Authority of
the City of Little Rock to be conveyed to the City of Little
Rock in exchange for the property described in Section 2 hereof
is described as a tract of land containing 89 , 175 square feet ,
more or less , and more particularly described as follows , to-wit:
j Lots 1 through 6 and the West 45 feet of Lots 7
through 9 , Block 9 , Hanger' s Addition to the City
of Little Rock , Pulaski County, Arkansas together
with all of a 20 foot alley situated in said Block
9 ; and
Lot 6 , and the South 2 of Lot 5 , the West 45 feet
of lots 7 and 8 and approximately the South 2/3
of the West 45 feet of Lot 9 all in Block 10 ,
Hanger' s Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Pulaski County, Arkansas , together with that portion
of a 20 foot alley within said Block 10 abutting
said blocks 9 and 10 ; and the 60 foot right-of-way
for Twelfth Street abutting Blocks 9 and 10 ,
Hanger' s Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Pulaski County, Arkansas for a length of 210 feet.
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
