A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AN OFFER MADE BY HAYGOOD,
INC. , TO BUY A TRACT OF LAND IN THE LITTLE ROCK
PORT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND THE CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED
IN FAVOR OF HAYGOOD, INC. , UPON PAYMENT OF THE
TOTAL PURCHASE PRICE AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. Haygood, Inc. , has submitted to the Little Rock
Port Authority a bid to purchase a tract of land in the Little
Rock Port Industrial Park District described as Tract D, Area 101 ,
containing six (6) acres or 261 , 360 square feet, which offer has
been accepted by the Little Rock Port Authority subject to the
approval of the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock.
The tract of land under consideration is more particularly described
as follows :
A parcel of land located in the SA of the SE4 of Section 16 ,
Township 1 North, Range 11 West , Pulaski County , Arkansas , and
more particularly described as follows :
Commencing at the Southeast corner of the SW4 , SE4 of Section
16 , Township 1 North, Range 11 West; thence N 1°30 ' 52"E, 60 . 00
feet along the East line of the SA , SE4 of said Section to a
point; thence N88° 47 ' 31"W, 146 . 23 feet along the North right-
of-way line of Frazier Pike to the point of beginning; thence
from said point of beginning continue N88°47 ' 31"W, 876 . 03 feet
along said North right-of-way line to the intersection of said
North right-of-way line and the East easement line of a 125-
foot Natural Gas Pipe Line Company of America easement; thence
N8°13 ' 48"E , 290 . 36 feet along said East easement line to a
point; thence S88°47 ' 31"E , 891. 80 feet to a point on the West
right-of-way line of Fourche Dam Pike; thence Sl°30 ' 52"W,
238 . 45 feet along the west right-of-way line of Fourche Dam
Pike to the point of tangency of a curve to the right with a
radius of 50 feet , said point of tangency being on said West
right-of-way line ; thence southwesterly along the arc of said
curve 78. 27 feet to the point of beginning. Said parcel con-
tains 6 . 00 acres , more or less .
SECTION 2 . The offer to purchase as set out in an Offer and
Acceptance dated October 16 , 1972 , attached to this Resolution and
incorporated therein by reference is hereby approved and accepted
by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock and the Mayor
is hereby directed to execute for and on behalf of the City a
Warranty Deed conveying said property to Haygood, Inc. , and the
City Clerk is hereby authorized to attest said Deed and to de-
liver same to Haygood, Inc. , upon full payment of Sixty-five
Thousand, Three Hundred, Forty Dollars ($65 , 340 . 00) .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
