RESOLUTION NO. 4,894
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK TO SIGN ON BEHALF OF THE SAID
CITY AND THE CITY CLERK TO ATTEST THERETO CER-
TAIN RESTRICTIVE COVENANTS REQUIRED BY THE
UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT PERTAINING TO LAND
PURCHASED BY THE CITY PURSUANT TO SAID OPEN-
SPACE GRANT CONTRACTS ; RATIFYING HIS SIGNATURE
ON SUCH RESTRICTIVE COVENANTS HERETOFORE FILED
FOR RECORD AND AUTHORIZING HIS SIGNATURE ON
SUCH RESTRICTIVE COVENANTS WHICH MAY BE REQUIRED
ON OTHER LANDS ACQUIRED BY THE CITY PURSUANT TO
SAID OPEN-SPACE GRANT CONTRACTS AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock , Arkansas , has entered
into a contract or contracts with the United States of America
providing for a grant from the United States of America for a
portion of the purchase price for the acquisition of open-space
lands , and
WHEREAS , the United States of America by said contract
or contracts required the execution and recording of a Restrictive
Covenant by the City of Little Rock as part of a consideration for
said open-space grant by which Covenant the City agrees not to
sell , lease or otherwise transfer those lands or any interest there-
in without the prior written approval of the Secretary of Housing
and Urban Development of the United States of America, his designee,
or any successor thereto, and
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock has acquired the follow-
ing described properties pursuant to the said contract with the
United States of America :
1 . Lots 3 , 4 , and 5 , and the West 35 feet of Lot 6 ; the
East 30 feet of Lot 11; and Lots 12 , 13 , 14 , 15, and
16 , Block 407 of Duvall ' s Addition to the City of
Little Rock , County of Pulaski , State of Arkansas .
2 . Lots 1 through 26 , inclusive, Cleage 's Subdivision,
Block 19 , Hanger' s Addition to the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas .
3. The North one-third (1/3) of Lots 1 and 2 , J. S .
Pollock ' s Subdivision, Block 21 of Garland ' s Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
4. The middle one-third (1/3) of Lots 1 and 2 , J. S.
Pollock' s Subdivision, Block 21 of Garlands Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
5. The South one-third (1/3) of Lots 1 and 2 , J. S.
Pollock ' s Subdivision, Block 21 of Garland's Addition
to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
6. Lot 3 of the J. S. Pollock' s Subdivision, Block 21
bf Garland' s Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas .
7 . Lot 4 of the J. S . Pollock' s Subdivision, Block 21
of Garland' s Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas .
8 . The North one-third (1/3) of Lots 5 and 6 , of the
J. S . Pollock' s Subdivision, Block 21 of Garland' s
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
9 . The middle one-third (1/3) of Lots 5 and 6, of the
J. S . Pollock ' s Subdivision, Block 21 of Garland' s
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas .
10 . The South one-third (1/3) of Lots 5 and 6 , of the
J. S . Pollock' s Subdivision, Block 21 of Garland' s
Addition to the City of Little Rock, Arkansas.
11. Lot 8 of the J. S . Pollock ' s Subdivision, Block 21
of Garland' s Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas .
12. Lot 9 of the J. S . Pollock' s Subdivision, Block 21
of Garland' s Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas .
13. Lot 10 of the J. S . Pollock ' s Subdivision, Block 21
of Garland ' s Addition to the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas .
14 . Lots 11 and 12 , Block 21, J. S . Pollock' s Subdivision
to Garland ' s Addition, City of Little Rock, County of
Pulaski , Arkansas .
and
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock will no doubt acquire more
parcels of land pursuant to other said open-space grant contracts.
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The Mayor of the City of Little Rock is hereby
authorized to execute on behalf of the City Restrictive Covenants
declaring that the City of Little Rock shall not hereafter sell,
lease , or otherwise transfer the land hereinabove described or any
interest therein without the prior written approval of the Secretary
of Housing and Urban Development of the United States of America,
his designee, or any successor thereto , and his signature on such
Covenant heretofore recorded is hereby ratified.

SECTION 2 . The Mayor of the City of Little Rock is hereby
authorized to execute and the City Clerk is to attest his signa-
ture , required by similiar Restrictive Covenants with the United
States of America pursuant to any open-space grant for any other
property acquired by the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , for this
purpose in the future .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
