RESOLUTION NO. 4,850
A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 4731
PERTAINING TO THE SALE OF LAND IN THE
LITTLE ROCK PORT INDUSTRIAL PARK TO PERKINS
AUTOMATIC SPRINKLER COMPANY, INC. ; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
WHEREAS, Perkins Automatic Sprinkler Company, Inc. has
pursuant to Resolution No. 4731 offered to buy and the City
of Little Rock has offered to sell land in the Little Rock
Port Industrial Park District described as Tract C, Area 201
containing approximately four (4) acres , more or less , the
description of which therein set forth is determined to be
erroneous and should be corrected to conform with a metes
and bounds survey; and
WHEREAS, Perkins Automatic Sprinkler Company, Inc. , the
purchaser of said property, has designated in writing that
title to same in the conveyance by the City of Little Rock
should be vested in Gilbert LeRoy Lemon and Ralph Wesley
Brockman, Jr. , Grantees , instead of Perkins Automatic Sprinkler
Company, Inc.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The offer of Perkins Automatic Sprinkler
Company, Inc. to purchase land in the Little Rock Industrial
Park District , described as Tract C, Area 201, which offer
has been assigned to Gilbert LeRoy Lemon and Ralph Wesley
Brockman , Jr. containing approximately four (4) acres is hereby
accepted for a purchase price of $32 ,000 . 00 . The land subject
to this conveyance is more particularly described as follows :
A parcel of land located in the NE4 , SEQ of
Section 17 , Township 1 North , Range 11 West ,
Pulaski County, Arkansas , more particularly
described as follows :
Commencing at the SE corner of Section 17 ,
Township 1 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County,
Arkansas , thence North 10 33 ' 49" East , 929 . 80 '
feet along the East line of Section 17 to a point ,
thence North 89° 47 ' 08" West 242 . 14 feet to a
point , thence North 0° 12 ' 52 " East 956 . 13 feet

to a point on the North right-of-way line of
Lindsey Road, also known as Federal Aid
Secondary Route 1484 ; thence North 89° 47 ' 08"
West 60 . 33 feet along said North right-of-way
line to the Point of Beginning; thence North
00 12 ' 52 " East 397 . 21 feet to a point on the
South right-of-way line of the Little Rock Port
Railroad Spur, thence North 89° 49 ' 08" West
439 . 14 feet along the South right-of-way line
of the Little Rock Port Railroad Spur to a point,
thence South 0° 12 ' 52" West 396 . 96 feet to a
point on the North right-of-way line of Lindsey
Road; thence South 89° 47 ' 08" East 439 . 14 feet
along the North right-of-way line of Lindsey
Road to the point of Beginning. Parcel contains
4. 00 acres , more or less .
SECTION 2 . The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized
and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Little Rock
a Deed conveying said property herein described to Gilbert
LeRoy Lemon and Ralph Wesley Brockman , Jr. and the City Clerk
is authorized to attest said Deed and transfer same to the
herein named individuals upon payment of the full purchase
price of $32 , 000 . 00 .
SECTION 3. Resolution No. 4731 adopted February 1, 1972
is hereby amended to conform to the provisions of this Resolution
where inconsistent herewith. This Resolution shall be in full
force and effect from and after its adoption.
