A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF CERTAIN ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT ;
WAIVING COMPETITIVE BIDDING; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. A contract is hereby awarded to Motorola
Communications & Electronics Company for the purchase of the
following identified electronic equipment to be used in the
Police Department for a total consideration including tax of
$2 ,055 . 50 :
(2) Transmit Modules @ $300 . 00 each $600 . 00
(4) Receive Modules @ $250 . 00 each $1 ,000 . 00
(2) Speaker Amp. @ $125 . 00 each $250 . 00
$1 , 850 . 00
Installation 150 . 00
Tax 55 . 50
Total $2 ,055 . 50
SECTION 2 . The Board of Directors hereby finds and
determines that the identified equipment in Section 1 hereof
is available only from the identified Seller and therefore
jurisdiction for waiving competitive bidding exists and such
is hereby waived.
SECTION 3. Upon receipt of the equipment identified in
Section 1 hereof complying with all specifications pertaining
thereto the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized to issue payment for said equipment from funds
heretofore made available for such.
SECTION 4. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
