RESOLUTION NO. 4,800
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
DEMOLITION OF CERTAIN RESIDENTIAL BUILDINGS
IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received
pursuant thereto according to law for the demolition of those residen-
tial buildings situated in the City of Little Rock identified on Exhibit
A attached hereto and made a part hereof as though set out herein word
for word; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bid has been det-
ermined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to award a
contract to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for the
demolition of such of said residential buildings as the City of Little
Rock may from time to time in its option determine.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder for
a contact to demolish those residential 'buildings identified on
Exhibit A attached hereto in the City of Little Rock is hereby
determined to be Joe Lipsmeyer and he is hereby awarded the contract
for the demolition of such of said separate properties at the contract
price set opposite each such property as the City of Little Rock from
time to time, in its sole discretion, may elect to issue work orders
for but in no event is the total cost for the demolition of all such
identified property to exceed the sum of $34, 400, if all of said
identified properties are ordered demolished.
SECTION 2 . Upon completion of the demolition of any or all
of said residential buildings based on work orders of the City of
Little Rock in compliance with plans and specifications on file
in the office of the purchase agent and in keeping with the orders
,
of the City of Little Rock, the City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to issue the necessary warrant or
warrants in payment of contract price for such of said buildings as
may be demolished pursuant to the City' s orders .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
