HomeMy WebLinkAbout4782 RESOLUTION NO. 4 78 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING AN OFFER MADE BY THE HOUSING AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK TO SELL A TRACT OF LAND IN THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK FOR THE SUM OF $21 , 400. 00 SUBJECT TO THE TITLE TO THE SAME TO BE APPROVED BY THE OFFICE OF THE CITY ATTORNEY FOR THE USES OF THE LITTLE ROCK COMMUNITY COMPLEX OF THE MODEL CITIES AGENCY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS . SECTION 1 . The Yodel Cities Agency of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas has need for a site for the development of the East Little Rock Community Complex, a Model Cities Agency Project, and the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock has agreed to sell to the City of Little Rock a tract of land suitable for this purpose and has offered to sell such tract of land to the City of Little Rock for the sum of TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($21 ,400 . 00) . The tract of land under consideration is described as follows : A part of the SE a of Section 1, T-1-N, R-12-W, which includes part of the North half of Lot 5 , Pope ' s 1000 acre grant more particulaily des- cribed as follows : Commence at the Southwest corner of the North half of said Lot 5; thence East 70 . 0 feet; thence N 80°00 ' E 760 . 8 feet; thence S 83°30 ' E 609. 8 feet; thence N 8°00 ' E 646 . 5 feet to the existing South bank of Arkansas River (date of deed 10/29/65) ; thence S 85°00 ' E along said South bank 163 . 5 feet; thence S 4°37 ' W 665. 9 feet; thence N 83°30 ' W 152 . 2 feet; thence S 16° 42 ' W 50 . 0 feet to the point of beginning; thence S 89°52 ' E 582 . 2 feet; thence S 7 042 ' W 463. 9 to a point on the North lin of East Sixth Street; thence N 87°33 ' W along the said North line of East Sixth Street 640. 0 feet; thence N 9°30 ' E 80 . 5 feet; thence N 16°42 ' E 370. 1 feet to the point of beginning containing 6 . 34 acres more or less SECTION 2 . The offer to se 1 the above described property by the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock is hereby accept- ed subject to the approval to the title to the same by the office of the City Attorney of Little Rock for the use of the Model Cities Agency in the East Little Rock Community Complex and upon conveyance to the City of Little Rock by Warranty Deed after approval of title by the office of the City Attorney and the Finance Officer of the City of Litttle Rock is hereby directed to prepare a warrant payable to the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock in the sum of TWENTY-ONE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($21 ,400. 00) .
