A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOPMENT THE THIRD-YEAR COMPREHENSIVE CITY
DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock has prepared a third-year
comprehensive City Demonstration Program; and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors finds that the program is neces-
sary and desirable in order to continue to improve the living conditions
of people living in the Model Neighborhood; and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors desires that the third-year com-
prehensive City Demonstration Program be submitted to the Secretary
of Housing and Urban Development (herein called the Secretary) for
funding under Title I of the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan
Development Act of 1966 .
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to
submit to the Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban Develop-
ment the third-year comprehensive City Demonstration Program and such
supporting and collateral material as shall be necessary to apply for
funding under Title I of the Demonstration Cities and Metropolitan
Development Act of 1966 .
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption .
