A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF CERTAIN
REAL PROPERTY OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has heretofore acquired, among
others, Lots .10 and 11, Block 6, Fairgrounds Addition to the City of
Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas as a part of the Model Cities
Program, which property is situated in the Model Neighborhood; and
WHEREAS, in keeping with the Model Cities Program the City
desires to sell said its 10 and 11 and advertised the same for
sale all in accordance with law; and
WHEREAS, bids have been received to purchase. said described
property and the highest and best bidder has been determined as
that submitted by the First Baptist Church, 9th and Calhoun, Little
Rock, Arkansas, which price is determined to be adequate, fair and
equitable.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The bid of the First Baptist Church, 9th and Calhoun,
Little Rock, Arkansas to purchase Lots 10 and 11, Block 6 Fairgrounds
AdditionLto the City of Little Rock, Pulaski County, Arkansas for
cash purchase price of $3, 000 .00 is hereby accepted and the City
Manager is hereby authorized and directed to prepare the necessary
instruments of conveyance for said property to be executed by the
Mayor and City Clerk conveying to the said Church all right, title
and interest of the City in and to said land upon receipt of the
said purchase price.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
