A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
PREPARE AND SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO THE STATE
CRIME COMMISSION FOR LEAA FUNDS TOTALLING
$365 , 900 OVER 24-36 MONTHS TO ESTABLISH AND
IMPLEMENT A RECORDS SYSTEM IN THE LITTLE ROCK
POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock entered into a contract
with Pharos Systems, Inc. to perform the first phase of the Police
Records System recently funded by the Law Enforcement Assistance
Administration (LEAA) , and
WHEREAS , this study resulted in a recommendation of improve-
ments in the records system in the Little Rock Police Department,
and
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has solicited proposals
from qualified consulting firms regarding installation of the
proposed records system, and these proposals have been adjudged
responsive and responsible.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. That the City Manager be authorized and instructed
to include an application to the State Crime Commission for
$365, 900 of LEAA funds to contract with a consulting firm to design,
develop, and implement a records system in the Little Rock Police
Department over a 24-36 month period.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
