A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
A CONTRACT WITH PHAROS SYSTEMS, INC. FOR THE IMPLE-
MENTATION OF A RECORDS SYSTEM IN THE LITTLE ROCK
POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock has completed a preliminary
study contract with Pharos Systems , Inc. relating to the design of
a records system in the Little Rock Police Department, and
WHEREAS, proposals have been solicited from several consult-
ing firms engaged in the design, development and implementation of
a records system in police departments, and
WHEREAS, the proposal received from the Pharos Systems, Inc .
is adjudged the best and most responsive approach to the overall
implementation plan, and
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. That the City Manager is authorized and instructed
to execute a contract with Pharos Systems , Inc . for the design,
development and implementation of a complete police records system
at the Little Rock Police Department.
SECTION 2 . That the contract with Pharos will be executed
contingent upon receiving grant funds from the State Crime Commission
and LEAA to cover the necessary costs .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
