RESOLUTION NO. 4,741
A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO MODERNIZE
THE ROBINSON AUDITORIUM UNDER ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
ADMINISTRATION PROJECT NO. 08-1-01104; AUTHORIZING
PAYMENT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received
pursuant thereto according to law for the modernization of Robinson
Auditorium in the City of Little Rock; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsible and responsive bidder has been
determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize
said modernization.
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bid on a
contract for the modernization of the Robinson Auditorium is hereby
accepted and a contract awarded to Carnes Construction Company based
on plans and specifications proposed by Wittenberg, Delony & Davidson
and Erhart, Eichenbaum, Rauch & Blass , Architect-Engineers. The Mayor
and City Clerk are hereby authorized to sign said contract in form
and substance as proposed by said Architect-Engineers for an amount
not to exceed $2 , 154 ,256 . 00 .
SECTION 2 . The City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants
from time to time as work progresses and from such funds as may be
made available all in keeping with provisions of contract documents.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
