A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING CONTRACTS FOR THE
PURCHASE OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMENT , FIVE
WALKIE TALKIE RADIOS , AND REMODELING THE
POLICE TRAINING BUILDING; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT;
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS, invitation for bids was published and bids received pur-
suant thereto for the purchase of traffic signal equipment and five
walkie talkie radios to be used by the Street and Police Departments
respectively, and for remodeling the Police Training Building; and
WHEREAS, lowest responsible and responsive bidders have been
determined and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to authorize
the purchase of these items and remodel the Police Training Building
from the lowest responsive and responsible bidders .
NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The lowest responsible and responsive bids on contracts
for the purchase of traffic signal equipment , five walkie talkie radios
and remodeling the Police Training Building are hereby accepted and
contracts awarded as follows :

SECTION 2 . The aggregate purchase price of Items 1 through 8 above
and the sum of $346 . 11 representing the cost of 500 ' of Item 9 , 250 ' of
Item 10 and 200 ' of Item 11 Plus the sum of $1 ,000 . 00 for the acqui-
sition of miscellaneous items , totaling $4 ,666 . 65 shall be charged to
the Auditorium Parking Garage Project Bond Fund Account to defray the
cost of signalizing the LeHarpe-Markham Street connection now being
planned.
SECTION 3 . Upon delivery or construction, as the case may be , of
the aforementioned items , complying in all respects with the bidding
specifications and bid proposal , the City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or
warrants in payment of said purchase price.
SECTION 4 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption.
