A RESOLUTION APPROVING 237 HOUSING COUNSELING
PROGRAM AS A MODEL CITIES PROJECT; AUTHORIZING
A CONTRACT WITH THE URBAN LEAGUE OF GREATER
LITTLE ROCK TO PERFORM CERTAIN SERVICES IN
SAID PROJECT; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. 237 Housing Counseling Program of the Urban
League of Greater Little Rock is hereby approved as a Model
Cities Project. This project will provide counseling to low
income families designed to enable them to qualify for Section
235 home loans as provided by the 1968 Federal Housing Act.
SECTION 2 . The City of Little Rock, acting by and through
Model Cities is hereby authorized to contract with the Urban
League of Greater Little Rock (the latter to be identified as
Contractor) wherein Contractor will perform certain services
and work cooperative with Model Cities all in keeping with
written proposal of Contractor dated July 17 , 1971 in the ad-
ministration of the said project at a cost not to exceed
$ 8,512.00 . Certain funds remain in Model Cities
Career Option Program in Nursing to be reprogrammed into and
fund this project .
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
