HomeMy WebLinkAbout4685 �a: 01 RESOLUTION NO. 4,685 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE LITTLE ROCK MUNICIPAL WATER WORKS TO USE CERTAIN CITY LANDS FOR WATERWORKS PURPOSES WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas , owns Oakland Cemetery and also owns Adams Field, the Little Rock Municipal Airport; and WHEREAS, the Little Rock Municipal Water Works Proposes to install new water mains across those sites and has requested rights of way for that purpose ; and WHEREAS, the Oakland Cemetery Commissioners and the Airport Commissioners have approved the Water Uorks ' requests and are willing for this board to grant the necessary permission; and WHEREAS, the Board of Directors has determined that the proposed waterworks facilities are for a necessary public purpose and will not adversely affect the use of Oakland Cemetery or Adams Field; Now, Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: Section 1. The Board of Commissioners of the Little Rock Municipal Water Works is hereby granted :permission to use the hereinafter described permanent rights of way in perpetuity for the Purpose of laying, constructing, maintaining, repairing, replacing, testing and inspecting water mains, whether one or more, and appurtenances thereto. The temporary rights of way shall be in the nature of construction easements only and their use shall terminate upon the installation of the initial water Pipe line. • r Section 2 . The rights of way are more particularly described as follows : OAKLAND CEMETERY: Permanent. A strip of land 20 feet in width, being 10 feet on each side of a center line described as: Coiranence at the Northeast corner of the SE4 of the SE4 of Section 11, Township 1 North, Range 12 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, and run thence West along the North line of said SE4 of the SE4 186 feet, more or less , to a point on the West right of way line of CRI&P Railroad; thence South 1 degree 43 minutes 50 seconds West 251. 10 feet; thence North 88 degrees 18 minutes 30 seconds West 76.67 feet to the point of beginning; thence North 15 degrees 01 minutes 00 seconds West 261 feet, more or less, to the North line of said SE4 of the SE4; thence North 2 degrees 48 minutes 55 seconds West 1333 feet, more or less, to the South line of East 17th Street in the City of Little Rock and the end of this easement. ADAMS FIELD: Permanent. A strip of land 20 feet in width in the NE4 of the NE4 of Section 18 and in the SE4 of the SE4 of Section 7, all in Township 1 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas , being 10 feet on each side of a center line described as : Commence 59. 14 feet West of the East line of said Section 18 on the North right of way of East Roosevelt Road and run thence North 47 degrees 07 minutes West 567.5 feet to the end of this easement on the East right of way line of the access road to the new Adams Field Air Terminal in the SE 4 of the SE 4 of said Section 7 . Temporary. A strip of land 25 feet in width South of, parallel to and abutting the entire length of the aforesaid permanent easement. Temporary. A strip of land 10 feet in width in the SE4 and in the NE4 of Section 7, Township 1 North, Range 11 West, Pulaski County, Arkansas, commencing on the South line of East 17th Street (Fourche Dam Pike) and extending Southerly 2709 feet immediately East of and parallel to the East right of way line of the access road to the new Adams Field Air Terminal.
