HomeMy WebLinkAbout4662 RESOLUTION NO. 4,662 A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, APPROVING ROUTES AND FACILITIES AS THE FEDERAL-AID URBAN SYSTEM IN THE LITTLE ROCK URBANIZED AREA; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES. WHEREAS, Section 106 of the Federal-Aid Highway Act of 1970 provides for the establishment of the Federal-Aid Urban System in urbanized areas; and WHEREAS, it is essential that the Federal-Aid Urban System be compatible with the 1990 National Highway Functional Classification and Needs Study and the Transportation Plan; and WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, is actively involved in a continu- ing cooperative, comprehensive transportation planning process in the Little Rock urbanized area; and WHEREAS, the Pulaski Area Transportation Coordinating Committee has selected the system in accordance with U. S. Department of Transportation guidelines to serve the entire urbanized area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS: SECTION 1. The routes and facilities designated on the map which is on file in the Office of the City Clerk are approved as the Federal-Aid Urban System in the Little Rock urbanized area. SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and after its adoption. ADOPTED: September 23, 1971 ATTEST: APPROVED: City Clerk Mayor
