A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A LITTLE ROCK PORT RAILROAD
SPUR WITH CONNECTIONS TO THE CHICAGO, ROCK
ISLAND & PACIFIC LINES; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids
received pursuant thereto according to law for the construction
of a Little Rock Port Railroad Spur with connection to the Chicago,
Rock Island & Pacific Lines; and
WHEREAS , the lowest responsive and responsible bidder has
been determined, and it is the desire of the Board of Directors
to award the contract for said construction to the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The lowest responsive and responsible bid on a
contract for the construction of a Little Rock Port Railroad Spur
with connection to the Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Lines is
hereby accepted and the contract awarded to Railway Construction
Company, Incorporated for the bid price of $75,793.02.
SECTION 20 Upon the completion of the construction of said
railroad spur in accordance with plans and specifications on
file in the office of the Purchasing Department, the City Manager
and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to
execute the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of said
contract price.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
