A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE INSTALLATION OF
5,000 LINEAR FEET OF CURB AND 14,000 SQUARE FEET OF SIDE-
WALK IN WAR MEMORIAL PARK; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received pursuant
thereto according to law for the installation of 5,000 linear feet of curb and
14,000 square feet of sidewalk in War Memorial Park; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder has been determined,
and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to award the contract for the
installation of said curb and sidewalk to the lowest responsive and responsible
bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1. The lowest responsive and responsible bid on a contract for
the installation of 5,000 linear feet of curb and 14,000 square feet of sidewalk
in War Memorial Park is hereby accepted and the contract awarded to G. B.
Malmquist Concrete Company, 4215 Glenmere Road, North Little Rock, Arkansas, at
the bid prices of $6,350.00 for 5,000 linear feet of curb @ $1.27 and $3,360.00
for 14,000 square feet of sidewalk @ $ .24, the total bid being $9,710.00.
SECTION 2. Upon completion of the installation of said curb and sidewalk,
complying in all respects with the plans and specifications on file in the office
of the Purchasing Agent, the City Manager and Director of Finance are hereby
authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant or warrants in payment
of said contract price.
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect from and
after its adoption.
