A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
DEMOLITION OF 17 HOUSES IN THE MODEL CITIES
AREA; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , invitation to bid was duly advertised and bids received
pursuant thereto according to law for the demolition of seventeen (17 )
houses located in Block 19, Cleage' s Subdivision of Hanger ' s Addition
to the City of Little Rock. and bounded by East 11th and East 12th
Streets and by Geyer and Last Streets; and
WHEREAS , the lowest responsive and responsible bidder has been
determined, and it is the desire of the Board of Directors to award
the contract for said demolition to the lowest responsive and
responsible bidder ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF
THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS
SECTION 1 , The lowest responsive and responsible bid on a
contract for the demolition of seventeen (17 ) houses located in Block
19, Cleage's Subdivision of Hanger ' s Addition to the City of Little
Rock and bounded by East 11th and East 12th Streets and by Geyer
and Last Streets is hereby accepted, and the contract awarded to Burk' s
Wrecking Corporation, 2516 West 11th, Little Rock, Arkansas, for the
bid price of Two Thousand Two Hundred Ten Dollars ($2, 210.00) .
SECTION 2, Upon the completion of the demolition of said houses
in accordance with the plans and specifications on file in the office
of the Purchasing Department and in accordance with the Ordinances of
the City of Little Rock, the City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to execute the necessary warrant
or warrants in payment of said contract price,
SECTION 3. This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
