A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO
SUBMIT TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN
DEVELOP??ENT THE SECOND-YEAR COMPREHENSIVE CITY
DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM; AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , the City of Little Rock has prepared a second-
year comprehensive City Demonstartion Program; and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors finds that the program is
necessary and desirable in order to continue to improve the living
conditions of people living in the Model Neighborhood and
WHEREAS , the Board of Directors desires that the second-year
comprehensive City Demonstration Program be submitted to the
Secretary of Housing and Urban Development (herein called the
Secretary) for funding under Title I of the Demonstration Cities
and Metropolitan Development Act of 1966.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVH:D BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed
to submit to the Secretary of the Department of Housing and Urban
Development the second-year comprehensive City Demonstration
Program and such supporting and collateral material as shall be
necessary to apply for funding under Title I of the Demonstration
Cities and Metropolitan Development Act of 1966.
SECTION 2. This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
