A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR THE
PURCHASE OF TWO THREE-WHEEL MOTORCYCLES
FOR USE BY THE TRAFFIC DEPARTMENT; AND
FOR OTHER PURPOSES
WHEREAS , the City has advertised and received bids pur-
suant to law for the purchase of two three-wheel motorcycles
for use by the Traffic Department; and
WHEREAS , the lowest bid of Bigelow-Robinson Company in
the amount of $3 , 417 . 22 after an agreed without commitment
trial use of such equipment for a period of 60 days proved
inadequate for the City ' s intended use of said equipment; and
WHEREAS , the lowest responsible and responsive bid was
that of Capitol Cycle and Equipment Company at a total price ,
including tax, of $4 ,035 . 47 .
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. A contract for the purchase of two three-
wheel motorcycles by the City for the use of the Traffic
Department is hereby awarded to Capitol Cycle and Equipment
Company at a total price of $4 ,035 . 47 .
SECTION 2 . Upon receipt of the said equipment identified
in Section 1 hereof, satisfying in all respects the plans ,
specifications and bid proposals of the City , the City Manager
and Director of Finance are hereby authorized and directed to
issue the necessary warrant or warrants in payment of the pur-
chase price as herein set out.
SECTION 3 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
