A RESOLUTION IN MEMORIAM OF HENRY M. de NOBLE.
WHEREAS, when death comes we are always humbled. When such comes suddenly
as in the accidental death of Henry M. de Noble, we are both humbled and shocked into
a state of bewilderment until we can remind ourselves that man alone does not control
his destiny; and,
WHEREAS, "Hank" as he was affectionately known, filled-his short life with
meaningful and worthwhile actions and accomplishments. He trained himself for his
chosen career and kept abreast of the modern advancements in this field. He would
fight for his conviction but with fairness and humility, and his training knowledge
and progressive ideas accomplished many lasting improvements in this community; and,
WHEREAS, in the business world, among his friends and with his family,
his life epitomized those principles which are ever present in the mind of man,
dedicating his life to others with loyalty, respect and love; and
WHEREAS, he lived as though his life would never end, he accepted the
knowledge that such might not be the case, and by his energies and natural drive,
filled each day with such accomplishments that when his time came the total of his
achievements were all that any man could hope for; and,
WHEREAS, his public service to the people of this community has made a
most worthwhile and lasting contribution to the public peace, health and safety and
thus progress, for all of which and for the privilege of sharing his life we give
our humble thanks.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. May the annals of history record that Henry M. de Noble,
in his short but full life, inspired all with his ambitious and dedicated life to

doubtless will be meaningful in the lives of each of us.
SECTION 2. We are saddened with his passing, and offer to the family of
this fine man condolence in their bereavement.
