A RESOLUTION IN MEMORIAM OF JOHN HARVEY BAIRD.
WHEREAS, on November 6, 1969, John Harvey Baird passed
from this life at the early age of 46 years; and
WHEREAS, at the time of his death, the said John Harvey
Baird, among other endeavors, was serving his fellow man in this
City as Chairman of the Little Rock Planning Commission, where he
had served as both member and Chairman from November 1, 1961; and
WHEREAS , in his public service, as well as in business and
private life, the said John Harvey Baird displayed a magic of leader-
ship most inspirational to all with whom he came in contact; and
WHEREAS, we would, by this Resolution, record for tomorrow
the love and affection of this community for John Harvey Baird and
our joy in having shared in a life so fully and effectively lived.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS.
SECTION 1 . In memory of John Harvey Baird, be it known that
his life, lived to the fullest for his family and fellowman, was, is
and shall be an inspiration to all, for all of which we humbly express
gratitude.
SECTION 2 . This Resolution shall be in full force and effect
from and after its adoption.
