A RESOLUTION FIXING A DATE FOR PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE CLOSING OF A PORTION OF
FACTORIA AVENUE AND 17th STREETS IN THE
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK; PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION OF NOTICE; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , a petition was filed with the City Clerk
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, on the 12th day of
February , 1969 , asking that the Board of
Directors vacate and abandon a portion of Factoria Avenue
and 17th Streets in the City of Little Rock, more particularly
described as follows:
The tract of land being the Factoria Avenue Right-
of-Way, lying between East Roosevelt Road and East
17th Street, and a portion of East 17th Street, all
in Section 7 and 12, Township 1 North, Range 11 West,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, more particularly described
as follows:
Commencing at the SW Corner, SE1 , SE4 of said Section
7 ; thence East 30 feet to a point on the East Right-
of-Way line of Factoria Avenue being the point of
beginning; thence North 2595.7 feet along said East
Right-of-Way line to a point on the South Right-of-
Way line of East 17th Street; thence East 1271 . 5
feet along said South Right-of-Way line to the East
line of Section 7 ; thence North 10 feet along the
East line of Section 7 ; thence East 300 feet along
said South Right-of-Way line; thence North 40 feet
to the North Right-of-Way line of East 17th Street;
thence West 300 feet along said North Right-of-Way
line to a point on the East line of Section 7 ; thence
North 10 feet along said East line of Section 7;
thence West 1308 feet along said North Right-of-Way
line to the West Right-of-Way line of Factoria Avenue;
thence South 2898.9 feet along said West Right-of-
Way line to a point on the North Right-of-Way line
of East Roosevelt Road; thence East 60 feet to a
point on the East Right-of-Way line of Factoria Avenue;
thence North 245. 2 feet along the East Right-of-Way
line of Factoria Avenue to the point of beginning and
containing 6. 1 acres, more or less.
and said petition being signed by the owners of all
of the property abutting on that portion of the Streets to be
vacated.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF
DIRECTORS OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS , that the
7th day of April, 1969, be fixed as the date for hearing
on the petition to vacate the above described Streets, and
the City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice of such
hearing by publication once a week for two consecutive weeks
in some newspaper published in Pulaski County, and having
a general circulation in the City of Little Rock. This
notice shall state the names of the persons who signed the
petition, the name of the Street to be vacated, and the
Street shall be identified as hereinabove described. All
persons shall be advised that on the certain day shown in
the notice, the Board of Directors will determine whether or
not the above described portion of said Streets should be
vacated.
