RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A CHANGE IN
THE URBAN RENEWAL PLAN FOR THE
CENTRAL LITTLE ROCK URBAN RENEWAL
PROJECT ARK R-12 IN BLOCK 99, ORIGINAL
CITY OF LITTLE ROCK
WHEREAS, the Housing Authority of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas,
hereinafter called "Housing Authority", has entered into a Loan and
Capital Grant Contract with the United States of America, dated July 3,
1962, through the Department of Housing and Urban Development, for the
execution of an urban renewal project in an area of the City of Little Rock,
Pulaski County, Arkansas, known as the Central Little Rock Project,
designated Project ARK R-12; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to have an Urban Renewal Plan which
portrays proposed land uses; and
WHEREAS, certain physical, economic and public related changes have
come about in the Central Little Rock Project Area since the original Plan
was prepared; and
WHEREAS, said changes create a need for a Plan revision in order
that the Plan may be in accordance with sound principles of planning, design,
public parking and traffic circulation; and
WHEREAS, after review of said Plan, certain revisions are proposed
in the land use plan including land utilization as shown in the Amendment
to Urban Renewal Plan for Central Little Rock Urban Renewal Project
ARK R-12, dated November 18, 1968, and attached hereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS, that:
Section 1. The Amendment to Urban Renewal Plan for Central Little
Rock Urban Renewal Project ARK R-12, dated November 18, 1968,
attached hereto, be and hereby is approved.
Section 2. The Housing Authority file with the Renewal Assistance
Administration of the Department of Housing and Urban Development said
Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan.
Section 3. This Resolution shall be effective immediately.

AMENDMENT TO URBAN RENEWAL PLAN
FOR CENTRAL LITTLE ROCK URBAN
RENEWAL PROJECT ARK R-12, NOVEMBER 18, 1968
The Urban Renewal Plan for Central Little Rock Urban Renewal Project
ARK R-12 adopted by the Board of Directors of the City of Little Rock,
Arkansas, by Resolution Number 2770 on December 18, 1961, and on file
in the office of the City Clerk, City Hall, Little Rock, Arkansas, and all
amendments thereto is hereby amended as follows:
The Land Use Plan (Map URP-2) for:
All of Lots 7 and 8 and fractional 9, Block 99,
Original City of Little Rock, Pulaski County,
Arkansas,
is hereby changed from Commercial to Public.
Upon approval of this Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan by the
Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of Little
Rock, Arkansas, and approval by the Board of Directors of the City of
Little Rock, Arkansas, this Amendment to the Urban Renewal Plan for
Central Little Rock Urban Renewal Project ARK R-12 shall have full
force and effect following approval of the Renewal Assistance Administration
of the Department of Housing and Urban Development.
