HomeMy WebLinkAbout13707 1 RESOLUTION NO. 13,707 2 3 A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER 4 INTO CONTRACTS WITH FIVE (5) ORGANIZATIONS TO PROVIDE 5 RE-ENTRY SERVICES TO LITTLE ROCK RESIDENTS; AND FOR 6 OTHER PURPOSES. 7 8 WHEREAS, the City of Little Rock is committed to providing Prevention, Intervention and Youth 9 Development Programs and services to enhance public safety and community-building, and 10 WHEREAS, the City advertised formal bids to solicit qualifications for re-entry services for Little 11 Rock residents, qualifications were submitted on May 9, 2013, and 12 WHEREAS, review committees met and reviewed the qualifications submitted and determined these 13 applicants the most qualified. Contracts terms have been negotiated, and the following organizations are 14 being recommended for contract awards. 15 NOW,THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE CITY 16 OF LITTLE ROCK,ARKANSAS: 17 Section 1. Contracts for re-entry services are hereby awarded to the following organizations: 18 Organization Bid 19 Center for Women in Transition $50,000.00 20 Quality Living Center $74,216.00 21 Our House $67,119.00 22 Goodwill Industries of Arkansas(Assessment and 23 Employment Placement for the Disabled) $77,397.00 24 Goodwill Industries of Arkansas(Assessment and 25 Employment Placement $49,928.00 26 27 TOTAL $318,660.00 28 29 Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to enter into contracts with these organizations to provide 30 reentry services, upon approval of the contract by the City Attorney. 31 Section 3. Funds for these programs are from The 2013 PIT Allocation, account number S15A238. 32 Section 4. The term of the contract is from July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2014. 33 Section 5. Severability. In the event any portion of this resolution is declared or adjudged to be 34 invalid or unconstitutional, such declaration or adjudication shall not affect the remaining portions of this 35 resolution, which shall remain in full force and effect as if the portion so declared or adjudged invalid or 36 unconstitutional were not originally a part of this resolution. 37 Section 6. Repealer.
