A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE LITTLE ROCK SANITARY SEWER COMMITTEE TO
CONSTRUCT A SEWER LINE ACROSS A PORTION OF THE REBSAMEN GOLF COURSE,
AND FOR OTHER PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, the Little Rock City Sewer Committee, in its present sewer
expansion project, is constructing a large interceptor sewer line along
the bank of the Arkansas River to intercept numerous lines that flow
directly into the river, to carry the sewage to the sewer treatment
plant, and
WHEREAS in the construction it is necessary that the sewer main cross
a portion of city owned property and used as the Rebsamen Golf Course,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Board of Directors
of the City of Little Rock:
Section 1. That the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee be and it
is hereby authorized to cause to be constructed, a sewer line through
a portion of the Rebsamen Golf Course, the center line of which is more
particularly described as follows:
Commencing at a point on the property line of the Riverdale Country
Club which is 205 feet, more or less, South and 50 feet, more or
less, East of the Northeast corner (NE) of the Northeast Quarter of
the Southeast Quarter (NE4, SE4) of Section 29, Township Two (2)
North, Range 12 West; thence North 27°00 ' West for 60.96 feet;
thence North 76°14 '40" West for 524.79 feet; thence North 63°50 '
West for 1181.66 feet; thence North 53°22 ' West for 648.35 feet;
thence North 67°04 '00" West for 686.36 feet; thence North 68°22 '40"
West for 902.99 feet; thence South 77°07 '40" West for 165 feet
more or less to the intersection with the Right-of-way of the U.S.
Government Access Road to Lock and Dam Number Seven (7) .
Section 2. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Little Rock Sanitary
Sewer Committee require that the contractor restore the Rebsamen Golf
Course to its present condition at no cost to the city.
Section 3. This Resolution will be in full force and effect from
and after its adoption and approval by the Mayor.
