A RESOLUTION GRANTING TO A. D. HORTON DIS-
ABILITY RETIREMENT BENEFITS UNDER SECTION
2-24 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY
OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS ; AND FOR OTHER
PURPOSES .
WHEREAS , A. D. Horton was employed by the City of
Little Rock on May 12, 1950 and has been continuously employed
until the present time and due to a physical disability is found
to be entitled to disability retirement, to become effective
December 15, 1967, comprising a total term of employment of 17
years, 7 months and 3 days; and
WHEREAS, under Section 2-24 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Little Rock, Arkansas, it is the policy of the
Board of Directors to continue to pay A. D. Horton at his rate
of pay on the date of retirement for a period of 17 months, 18
days and 3 hours, commencing December 16, 1967, subject, however,
to deductions from the said monthly pay equal to sums hereinafter
received by A. D. Horton in accordance with Section 2-24 of the
Code of Ordinances of the City of Little Rock, as amended.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
OF THE CITY OF LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS .
SECTION 1. The City Manager and Director of Finance
are hereby authorized and directed to continue the salary established
for A. D. Horton as of December 15, 1967 and to pay same to A. Do
Horton monthly in the nature of disability retirement benefits
beginning December 16, 1967, for a period of 17 months, 18 days
and 3 hours as provided by Section 2-24 of the Code of Ordinances
of the City of Little Rock, as amended.
SECTION 20 This Resolution shall be in full force and
effect from and after its adoption.
